Description
Amateur boxers competed in the Fort Worth district Golden Gloves tournament. The winners of the eight weight classes are moving on to the state tournament to be held at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Herman Choate beat out Buster Burrell to win the light-heavyweight class and move on to the state tournament. Choate is standing against a wall at the Recreation Building, dressed in boxing trunks.
