Description

Among those attending the Exchange Club's 17th Golden Deeds Banquet at the Fort Worth Club were, left to right, Federal Judge James C. Wilson, R. Houston Foster (standing), executive vice president of Landreth Production Company, and Dr. Eugene B. Hawk, vice president of Southern Methodist University and former pastor of First Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. The men are gathered at the speakers' table, all wearing tuxedoes, bow ties and eyeglasses. Mr. Foster has his hands on the backs of his companions' chairs and appears to be looking down at Judge Wilson. On the table in front of them is a small potted plant and behind them is a wall with some patterned curtains. These three were among the speakers at the banquet who paid tribute to E. A. Landreth, who was named Fort Worth, Texas's, outstanding 1940 citizen.
