Description
Some of the "sweethearts of 1941" who appeared in the parade at Gail, Texas, during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Borden County. From left to right, they are Misses Virginia Adams, Esther Raborn, Lucile Kirby, Bessie Orson, Era Helen Graham, Bonnie von Roeder, Katie Lou Berkett, Marie Odom LaNelle Johnson and Emma Jo Hinkle. The young women are standing outside of a large wooden plank house. Behind them, two of the house's windows can be seen. They are all wearing floor-length dresses of various patterns and styles.
