Description
Mrs. J. S. York, who was crowned queen of the Borden County 50th anniversary celebration, and the crown bearer, Dorthea Jean Beal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Homer Beal Junior. Mrs. York is sitting on a throne, riding atop a float that was part of the parade at the celebration. Dorthea is sitting beside her, on a lower step of the throne. Mrs. York is wearing a dress, a shawl and eyeglasses. Dorthea is wearing a dress and is carrying a crown on a pillow. In the background, spectators can be seen watching the parade.
