Description
The first business opened in the new Abell City, Texas, was the cafe of H. H. Gardner, shown here making coffee. He went to Abell City, Texas, from Royalty, Texas. Mr. Gardner is wearing a chef's hat and an apron, and is filling a serving pot from the coffee machine. There is a stack of saucers on the counter next to the machine. There is a calendar hanging on the wall behind the counter. On a shelf beneath the counter is a package of Hershey's Milk Chocolate bars and a package of Eatmors Milk Chocolate bars.
