Melvin Thurman, left, of Abilene, Texas, and A. Pat Rogers, of Brownsville, Texas, attending the joint convention of the Southwestern Photographers Association and the Texas Professional Photographers Association at Hotel Texas. The two men are standing in front of a wall that is covered with print portrait photographs of various people. Mr. Thurman is wearing a pinstripe, double-breasted suit. Mr. Rogers is wearing a long-sleeve, grid patterned shirt. Thurman was elected president of the Southwestern association at the convention, and Rogers was elected head of the Texas group.
