Description
Barney Reynolds, West Seventh Street (Fort Worth, Texas) garage proprietor, shown beside the pile of old license plates to be used for scrap iron. Reynolds is wearing a collared shirt, necktie, a pair of dark trousers and a brimmed hat. He is holding a license plate in each hand, about to throw them in the large pile. In the middle of the pile is a sign that reads, "Iron for British." Behind Reynolds is another, larger sign that says, "Welcome." In the background, at left, is a gas service station and a couple automobiles. The scrap drive is the newest of the local "aid-the-British" movements.
