Description
C. J. Lasseter, left, chef and steward at the Baker Hotel at Mineral Wells, Texas, who paid 35 cents a pound for the grand champion calf of Donald Boone, standing at the right. The two are standing on either side of the calf while wearing cowboy hats, boots, collared shirts and trousers. Mr. Lasseter is also wearing a bandanna around his neck and supporting himself up with a cane in his right hand. Young Donald is holding a rope that in connected to the calf's lead. Behind them is a tented off building and a few parked cars.
