Description

Abilene, Texas played host to an array of military dignitaries at their annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Two of the honored guests are left to right Major General Claude V. Birkhead and Brigadier General Richard Donovan. General Birkhead is commander of the 36th Infantry Division at Camp Bowie. He is dressed in his military uniform. General Donovan, of San Antonio, Texas, is the commander of the 8th Corps Area. He is wearing his military uniform. Both men are smoking cigarettes, after eating their dessert.
