Saginaw. Shot of Saginaw's "main street." Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition. 1941-02-05. Photograph of the main street in Saginaw, Texas. On the right side of the street is a post office and a grocery store in the same small, white wooden frame building. There are various signs on the small white building that have the words "Post Office", Wakefield Cash Grocery" "Drink Coca-Cola" and "Groceries, Notions, Sundries." There is a car parked in front of the grocery store. On the left side of the street there is a gray wooden, two story building with a sign that has the words "café" and "Dr. Pepper." There is a car parked in front of the café. There is a very small building next to the café building. It has a sign next to it that has the words "Saginaw Lumber Co." There is another gray, two story wooden frame building that has no signage. It has a covered front porch with a barber shop pole. There are four men standing next to the building. Three are standing and one is squatting. There is also a dog with the men. Further down the street there are other buildings. There are many wooden electricity poles all along the right side of the street and in the background.
