Description
The Fort Worth Recreation Camp at Sycamore Park is officially open. It is the one army camp in the area without sentries or buglers. Corporal Maynard Hattlestad, of Camp Wolters, is shown basking in the Texas sunshine. He recently returned to Texas after a furlough to his home in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. Corporal Hattlestad is sitting in front of his tent, dressed in his military uniform. The trip to the recreation camp serves as a reward from company commanders, for the soldier's efficient work.
