Amateur boxers from all around the area are preparing for the 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Robert Balew is entering the Golden Gloves for the fourth time this year. He is a graduate of Diamond Hill and will compete for the welterweight title. Balew standing in front of a fireplace, practicing his fighting stance. He is wearing boxing gloves and shorts. He is training at the free Golden Gloves gymnasium in the Medical Arts building.
