Description
One of the largest manhunts in North Texas spread over two counties and concluded in Grapevine, Texas. A Ford Mercury Eight was stolen and police chased the automobile for four hours. It was then abandoned in Grapevine. One of the boys charged in the automobile theft is Richard W. Williams Junior. The twenty-three year old was shot by one of the officers involved in the manhunt. He is wearing a bloody shirt and trousers, and has a bandage on his chest. The other boy is W. T. Cannon, not pictured. Both boys claimed they were hitch-hiking and denied any connection with the automobile theft.
