Description

One of the largest manhunts in North Texas spread over two counties and concluded in Grapevine, Texas. A Ford Mercury Eight was stolen and police chased the automobile for four hours. It was then abandoned in Grapevine. The boys charged in the automobile theft are left to right, Richard W. Williams Junior and W. T. Cannon. Mr. Williams, twenty-three, was shot by one of the officers involved in the manhunt. He is wearing a bloody shirt and trousers, and has a bandage on his chest. Mr. Cannon, twenty-four, is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, and trousers. Both boys claimed they were hitch-hiking and denied any connection with the automobile theft.
