Description

Pictured on the downtown streets of Fort Worth, Texas are Colonel Thomas Boles and Bess Stephenson. Colonel Boles has been the superintendent of Carlsbad Caverns National Park for the past fifteen years. For the past few years, he has been eagerly awaiting the development of Big Bend National Park. Colonel Boles is convinced Texas' first national park will become one of the Nation's outstanding tourist attractions in the Southwest. He envisions the area from the Big Bend of the Rio Grande to Southern New Mexico become an international tourist mecca. He is waving a hat and dressed in a suit and a winter coat. Miss Stephenson is wearing a hat, dress with lace around the collar, and a coat.
