Description

Amateur boxers are competing in the Golden Gloves District Tournament at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Facing off in the ring, left to right, are George Kramig and Sam Bates. Kramig is a student at North Texas Agricultural College. He is shown aggressively pursuing his opponent in the lightweight semi-finals. Bates is taking a blow to the chest as his knees buckle. Kramig went on to win the match and will move on to the compete in the lightweight championship against Dale Mingus. The referee is standing in the background, watching the action.
