Description

Amateur boxers are competing in the Golden Gloves District Tournament at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Squaring off in the ring, left to right, are Dale Mingus and Robert Ballew. Mingus is leaning away from Ballew's glove and winding up to throw a right hook. Mingus surprised many by pounding out a victory over Ballew in the semifinals. Mingus will face the clever and hard-hitting George Kramig in the finals. The referee is standing at the far left, keeping an eye on the action.
