Description

Charles Jerome is an engineer with the Texas and Pacific (T. & P.) Railroad. He has been an employee of the railroad for 41 years. On Tuesday afternoon, he switched his engine into the T. & P. Station for the last time. His friends and family were there to greet him when he finished the last run. The 65-year-old is looking forward to a well earned retirement. He is shown being greeted by his daughter and her family. They are, left to right, Mr. and Mrs. N. U. Malone, Mr. Jerome, Ann Malone (10), and Kathleen Malone (14). Mr. Malone is dressed in a hat, double breasted suit, and a coat. Mrs. Malone is wearing a hat and a coat. Mr. Jerome is dressed in a cap, button-up shirt, and overalls. Ann is wearing a hat, dress and a coat. Kathleen is wearing a long-sleeve dress. There is a train and tracks in the background.
