The first baby of the new year was born in Fort Worth, Texas, 30 seconds past midnight in 1941. His name is James Brook Master. He was born at Saint Joseph's Hospital and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Master. The newborn is shown in the arms of his mother. They are lying in a hospital bed.
