Description
Leaders of the American Institute of Banking (AIB) gathered at Hotel Texas for preliminary committee meetings preceding the annual mid-Winter session of the AIB executive council. They were, left to right, Leroy Jeffers of the First National Bank of Fort Worth, Texas, chairman of arrangements for the Fort Worth Chapter; David E. Sims of the Federal Reserve Bank, Salt Lake City, Utah, member of the executive council; Harry R. Smith of the California Bank of America, National Trust and Savings Association, San Francisco, California, president of the AIB; and T. Edward Graham of the First National Bank of Fort Worth, Texas, executive council member. They are sitting on a bench, reading a newspaper held by Mr. Jeffers and Mr. Smith. They are all wearing suits, coats and hats. Mr. Sims and Mr. Graham are wearing eyeglasses. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, January 22, 1940.
