Captain W. E. Gerhardt, Quartermaster Corps, and his family. Edwin Gerhardt, nephew, sits at the left holding Queenie Belle, the family pet; the Captain and Mrs. Gerhardt are at the right. They are all sitting on a couch in their new home at 909 East Mulkey Street. They moved from San Antonio and arrived here for the opening of the Fort Worth branch of the San Antonio general depot. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 2, 1940.
