Texas A & M University versus University of Texas football game. On fourth down and with four yards to go, the Texas Longhorns' Pete Layden passed to Malcom Kutner for a first down on the eight yard line in the second quarter of the classic at Austin Thursday against the Texas Aggies. On the next play, however, a bad pass-back from center gave the Aggies the ball on the 10 yard line. Longhorns cite this drive as proof that their team's first-minute touchdown was no fluke. The Aggies threatened to score only once. An action shot of the players on the field with the spectators in the background. Star-Telegram Morning December 1, 1940
