Description

National Guards are leaving for a year of intensive training on the Mexican border. There is sadness and gladness at the departure of the One Hundred and Twenty-fourth Cavalry. Four of them are pictured here. From left to right, are Private (Pvt.) Nova Howard, Private (Pvt.) Jack Glaze, Corporal (Corp.) Edward W. Roberson and Private (Pvt.) Dick Hardy. Private Howard is shirtless while the rest of the men are wearing uniforms. They are standing in a train car and singing in celebration of their departure for Fort Bliss, El Paso.
