Description
Stephenville High School is visiting Brownwood High School for the Oil Belt Classic football game. The two top running backs in the district are facing off - Barney Welch of Stephenville and Chili Rice of Brownwood. Welch is shown charging down the field after taking a lateral from John Witacre on the kickoff. Welch returned the kick eighty-five yards for the touchdown. Both teams are shown chasing after the speedy youngster. Welch is the state's leading scorer with 126 points this season.
