Description
The Saddle and Sirloin Club of Texas Agricultural and Mechanical (A&M) College sponsors each year a rodeo with competition limited to students of the institution. Left to right, Bob Frazer, Lufkin, Texas; Jake Hess, McLean, Texas; Del Rio Joe the quarterhorse owned by Bob Denhard; Fred Dalby of Aspermont, Texas, named Champion Cowboy of this year's rodeo; and Bill Huffman of Brady, Texas. The men are all wearing jeans, long-sleeved shirts, and cowboy hats and are standing facing the camera. Del Rio Joe has his head in between Mr. Hess and Mr. Dalby while Mr. Dalby is holding his reigns. Star-Telegram Morning, October 22 1940.
