Description

Peace time registration of youths for the draft is being conducted in Tarrant County, Texas. Mrs. C. V. Smith is a registrar at an elementary school. She is shown registering three of her sons. They are left to right C. V. Smith Junior, Gerald Smith, and William Smith. Mrs. Smith is wearing a short-sleeve dress. C. V. is dressed in a double breasted suit with a pocket square. Gerald is wearing a double breasted tweed suit. William is dressed in a suit. There is a county map hanging on a blackboard. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition October 17, 1940.
