Texas Christian University vs. Centenary College football game. Beecher Montgomery, number 60 of Texas Christian University, carrying the ball, has just broken through the line of defenders and is cutting towards the sideline to avoid the secondary defenders. All of the players on the field are visible in this shot along with three referees; everyone is wearing their respective uniforms. Montgomery is cutting to his left and running towards the camera near his own 25-yard line while six Centenary players are pursuing him from his left. The two closest Centenary players are Weatherford and Faith. In the background, people can be seen sitting in the stands. Star-Telegram Morning, September 29 1940.
