July 1st will mark the 40th anniversary of Horace M. Jewell, composing room foreman, as an employee of the Star-Telegram. His makeup rule has grown rusty since he took over as skipper of the printers, but there was a time when he made up many a lost minute for the editorial and advertising departments. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition June, 1949.
