Description
Shown here is Archie Connolly, apprentice seaman in a V-12 unit at Yale University. In the picture, he is standing against a bare wall and dressed in Navy sailor uniform. He is spending a 15-day leave with his mother, Mrs. J. J. Connolly, 1812 Carleton, Fort Worth, Texas. He is a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity brother. Archie, a senior medical student, was graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1943. He entered Yale as a civilian on a regional scholarship won in high school and was allowed to remain there after enlisting in the Navy. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June, 1945.
