Shown here is a copy of framed half-bust portrait photograph of Staff Sergeant (Sgt.) Melvin C. Frank. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Frank of San Antonio. He is wearing military uniform. He has been awarded the Air Medal with five clusters for bombing missions against Germany. He served as radio operator and gunner on a Marauder bomber of the "Tiger Stripe" group of the 9th Air Force from January until the conclusion of fighting in Europe. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, August 8, 1945.
