At the left is Miss Johawene Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Moore, Palo Pinto, who was crowned queen last Saturday at the West Cross Timbers Sheep and Goat Raisers Association show and sale at Mineral Wells. At the right is Miss Mary Ann Miller, Goldthwaite, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Miller, who was runner-up for the honor. Two women are standing side by side in a Stockyard, facing front and smiling. Miss Moore is wearing a white dress with black lace on it and wearing the crown. Miss Miller is wearing a dark color dress. County Agent G. D. Everett of Stephenville, crowned the queen. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 3, 1945.
