    Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rutledge and two daughters, Francis, left, and Joy, right, stand together as Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rutledge hold up flag with six stars representing each of their 6 children that are in the armed forces. The Rutledges have 10 children, two married daughters and two daughters at home too young to enter the service. One son-in-law is in the Navy. One son has been wounded but not seriously, two have been decorated, three of them are now overseas, one recently returned from the Pacific area, and the other two have not left the United States. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, September 3, 1944.
