    Description

"The Order of Others," only service award made by the Salvation Army to persons outside its own personnel, was conferred Monday on three members of the organization's Tarrant County advisory board. Brigadier General William G. Gilks, divisional commander of the Texas Division, at right, made the presentation. Receiving the awards, left to right, are Russell Pearson, board president, for "long, faithful service;" Mrs. Warren V. Galbreath, for "more than 25 years a true worker," and H.C. Burke Jr., for "19 years of faithful service as treasurer of the board." The awards were made at a luncheon meeting of the board at Hotel Texas. Seen here, Brigadier General Gilks smiles and hands an award certificate to Mrs. Warren V. Galbreath. She wears a corsage, dark dress, and dark hat with a pin. Pearson Russell looks on smiling.
