Wilbarger County, Texas, Mains oil field. E. B. Nowlen (left) and C. C McCracken, roustabouts for Texas Company. The duo is shown standing outside in the middle of field. They're both wearing long-sleeved shirts, overalls and helmets. Mr. Nowlen also wears a pair of eyeglasses while Mr. McCracken's eyes are closed. The two are holding shovels and appear to be digging out a hole. The field is made up of patches of grass and dirt.
