Color Guard of Fort Worth Guardettes. Christmas is holding a prop wooden rifle, Garland is holding the U. S. flag on a wooden pole, and Burch is holding a prop wooden rifle. The women appear to be on a landscaped campus. They are standing on a lawn next to a pavement walk and there are walls and trees planted evenly spaced behind them. No clipping, no stamped publication date.First Texas Defense Guardettes, women's defense unit. Formed in 1942. Group named in "Texas and War: New Interpretations of the State's Military History, Mendoza and Grear. Citation is on page 91, #13.May be a club to train future WAACS
