Description

Image shows a unidentified man posed by railroad track and a car that belonged to Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Bransom, of Dallas, Texas. The car, with its two passengers, was hurled 40 feet at the Tierney Road crossing of the Texas and Pacific Railroad when an eastbound Santa Fe passenger train hit the car. A freight train, westbound, sideswiped the car a few seconds later. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Bransom were injured. The car was hit toward the left rear door. Bransom was thrown out of the car by the impact. At right unidentified men examining the damage. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition September 16, 1940.
