    Description

    The 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Squaring off in a battle for the heavyweight finals, left to right, are Pee Wee Holton and J. B. "Punkin" Smith. Holton weighs in at 178 pounds. He is shown scrambling to the other side of the ring. Smith is a 225-pound freshman at Texas Christian University. Holton went on to win the decision.
