Marion Miley, a nationally known golf star, and her mother, Mrs. Fred Miley, were killed on September 28, 1941. They were staying at the Lexington Country Club in Lexington, Kentucky, when the robbery-homicide occurred. Two Fort Worth Police detectives were following a lead on another case when they saw a two-toned Buick with Kentucky plates parked outside a beer tavern. On a hunch, the detectives brought the driver and passenger in for questioning. The suspects will remain in Fort Worth, Texas, until every effort has been made to establish them as the murders. Pictured at the station, left to right, are Fort Worth Police Chief Charles F. Howard, Lexington Police Chief A. B. Price, and Lexington Sheriff Ernest Thompson. The Kentucky officers are working in conjunction with the Fort Worth Police Department. The three men are dressed in suits.
