Description

Soldiers studying an 81-millimeter mortar are (left to right) Corporal Elveridge Zimmerman, Private R. L. Jones, Corporal Virgil Laughlin and Sergeant Lloyd R. Fox, all of Stephenville, Texas. This 81-mm mortar uses projectiles manufactured in Fort Worth, Texas. The soldiers are knelt around the mortar as they inspect it. Each of them are dressed in military uniform and are wearing helmets. Corporal Zimmerman appears to be adjusting the mortar while Sergeant Fox hands a pair of binoculars to Corporal Laughlin.
