Sergeants (left to right) W. Florence, Leroy Thomas and Dub Wall, First Sergeant William H. Pruitt and Sergeant H. A. Doss, all of Company A, 142nd Infantry Regiment. All but Florence, who is From Tahoka, Texas, are Brownwood, Texas, men. The sergeants are outdoors standing next to each other, shoulder to shoulder. All are wearing their military uniform as well as helmets.
