The Texas State Democratic Convention is getting under way in Mineral Wells, Texas. Speaking at the podium and giving the keynote address is Hal Collins. He is the son of State Senator, W. A. Collins. Mr. Collins is dressed in a double breasted suit. A pitcher of water and glasses are balancing on a "Pabst Blue Ribbon" tray.
