Description

When Mr. and Mrs. Mans Hoggett of Mertzon started to gather rocks from their ranch property to build a home, friends in all parts of the country wanted to contribute to the collection. Soon huge rocks started rolling in. Today, a beautifully constructed home is the result. The home, located in Mertzon, is a long structure that has a screened-in porch, living room, dining room, three bedrooms, kitchen, den and two baths—and all conveniences found in the city home. Interior shot of the house showing dining room. The room contains mahogany furniture: a table with light colored lace tablecloth, small rectangular mirror in the center with a vase filled with iris flowers; three chairs; and a china cabinet. The room has a pine floor. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Sunday Edition May 11, 1941.
