Army troops are destined for a year's training at Camp Bowie, Brownwood, Texas. Soldiers of the One Hundred Eleventh Quartermaster Regiment were the first arrivals. Army Captain J. W. Mohrmann of Gonzales, Texas, commanding officer of the service company is pictured here. He is testing the mess hall sink by turning on one of the faucets. Captain Mohrmann is wearing uniform jacket, and hat. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 12, 1940.
