    United States Army One Hundred Forty-second Infantry solders are pictured here. They are, left to right Private (Pvt.) Charles Vaughn, Sergeant (Sergt.) C. R. Eaton, Private (Pvt.) R. K. Cline and Sergeant (Sergt.) W. E. Black. All four men are standing near exit of a building and wearing their uniform greatcoats and hats as the air is crisp and cool at Amarillo, Texas. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 8, 1940.
