Rudd, is standing and reading a telegram from First Battalion Headquarters at Plainview, Texas. First Sergeant (Sergt.) Loyd P. Glidewell, left, and Staff Sergeant (Sergt.) Robert L. Dodd, center, sitting on a cot and listening to Lieutenant (Lieut.) Rudd. All three men are wearing uniforms. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 8, 1940.
