Texas Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association convention attendees (left to right) E. L. Smith, Dallas, Texas and J. L. Collins, Corsicana, Texas. In the picture you can see Mr. Smith holding a plaque and looking at Mr. Collins; both men are wearing suits. The plaque is a gift to the citizens of Corsicana, Texas from the Texas Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association to commemorate Corsicana being the location of the first important oil field and successful refinery in Texas.
