Description
Shown here is the interior of one of the newly finished mess halls at Camp Bowie, Brownwood, Texas, where the Thirty-Sixth Division will train. The hall is filled with highly polished tables and at the far end of the building, people are working in the kitchen. Electricity is used for lightening. The building is gas-heated and kitchen has gas stoves. Published in the Star-Telegram evening edition, December 4 1940.
