Description
Cannon fire resounded near Newcastle, Texas as the 131st Artillery continued their preview of activities preceding encampment at Camp Bowie in Brownwood, Texas. Left to right are Sergeant L. C. Cambell, Private J. O. Brandenburg Junior, and Captain A. A. Files. They are making up a firing charge on a make-shift table in the field. Captain Files, Battery F commander, is showing the others how they missed the target on the first show. The three men are dressed in their military uniforms. There is a truck in the background.
