Some of Fine Palomino Entries in West Texas Fair at Abilene -- The Palomino show Monday was a feature of the West Texas Fair at Abilene. Sue Alteza, one of the fine specimens of this beautiful strain and her owner are shown here. Sue is first prize winner in the two-year-old filly class, owned by Jack Bridges of Glen Rose. Mr. Bridges is standing near Sue and holding her halter. He is wearing a cowboy hat, western shirt, necktie and trousers. There are railroad cars and tents in the background. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 9, 1940.
