Description
Hale Center Hogs That Won at State Fair - Three of the Chester White hogs with which E. D. Heath & Sons of Hale Center practically swept the Chester White division of the State Fair of Texas hog show at Dallas last week. Tom Collins, the big animal which was called the world's champion boar at the state show is pictured here. The man with this hog is Aaron Gritzmaker, of Gritzmaker Brothers of Lahoma, Oklahoma, new owners of the entire Heath show herd which was sold to them at the conclusion of the state fair judging. Mr. Gritzmaker is standing behind his hog, dressed in a tilted hat, button-up shirt, and trousers. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 17, 1940.
